    Default lack of power

Well after changing a dirty air filter and putting the swirl bar back on I now have a problem.sometimes when I go to pull away I have no revs ,with my foot to the floor the car gets to 2000 revs and the takes off. I have read on here that the manifold may need replacing . Before I changed the air filter and put the swirl bar back on I had no problems but then it was cold mornings, now its warm would this effect it.

sounds like you've the same problem as me. I'll be keeping an eye on any responses.

By having a look around the site it seems it's maybe swirl valves being stuck open, but that still means nought to me unfortunately!

Is the swirl valve bar staying on, have you cleaned your egr valve?

Try Boost Sensor and EGR Valve clean - doesn't take too long, had similar issues and this cleared it.

Get someone in the car to rev it from idel to red line (when it is pre warmed up to operating temp), while you look at the actuator bar. If it doesn't move, then your swirl valves may be jammed. At least three of them were stuck in one possition with the bar off, since you put it back, they my all be stuck in a different possition, that is resulting in losses of low down power. They should be closed low down to swirl the air in the cylinder and mix the fuel better. Might be worth unplugging the throttle body for one run to see if that is causing any issues; just plug it back in asap, as being unplugged causes heavy juder on shut down.
