    Default Wobbly Knob

Yesterday I noticed my gear stick has alot of play left to right while in gear. It wasn't like this before. I can't remember reading about it on here before, is this a common problem? With an easy fix? There's no forward backwards movement at all whilst in gear.
    Cheers billy

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I had a look earlier and found the problem. This rubber cap thing had come off the rod pointing towards the drivers side, its got a split in it

I pushed it back on and now there's no left right movement but i'm sure it'll be back off again soon due to the split

Does anyone have a part number for this cap?

The selector/linkage looks different in the pic on that thread but maybe there's a similar part on yours.

Well its certainly not the nylon cap in my case. Its firmly in place. Its deffo the tube part which is highlighted in my thread. Cant figure a way to stop the movement without interfering with the gear selection.

Oh well, i guess its something ill just have to live with
