No I don't think so as long as the doors open. Just watch your head lol. Just got some from lmf for the mother in laws corsa, £28 a pair brand new and delivered
No, thats not a fail, they don't go in the boot anymore.
That's correct.
I took my wifes Corsa C for it's MOT late last year. I knew that if the car has a baby seat in it, they won't test the seatbelt.
Because we do have a baby seat in the car, I wanted them to test the seat belt (even though it was obvious it was fine).
I then realised the pram was in the boot, and I offered to move it so he could get to the spare wheel. His reply was "I have no interest in anything in your boot, I don't need to go in it". I questioned about the spare wheel. "It's not part of the test anymore"
So the car seat got put in the boot.
The MOT is to check your car is road legal, it can go on the road even if your tailgate doesn't stay up on it's own, so won't be an issue.
Good luck with the MOT.
They might not be part of the test, but the tester is supposed to notify the owner if the spare is defective. That suggests to me that the tester still has to look at it - if possible

"Tyres fitted to the road wheels only. The vehicle presenter should be informed when it is noticed that there is a defective tyre on a spare wheel."
