    Default Car in faux already

Sunday night went to get some ale from shop.changed into third and felt a missfire so then thought hmmmmmm let Car off. Then yesterday went to pick mrs up. went up a dual carrigeway missfired in 2nd 3rd and 4th. Took it to vauxhall took a mechanic out sods law nothing happened so was told if it gets worse to bring it back. so driving home on A57 again lol went into third put my foot down missfired again engine management came on all revs died and she wouldn't rev above 1200 managed to crawl home. Turned engine off and back on she reved fine until in gear revved to 2500 so managed to get her back to vaux there looking at her today. Bit of an essay lol

Just wonderd if anyone had any opinions of what it could be?, it's a facelift vec c life, thankfully still under warranty lol.

Might be a "duff" coil pack.

I was thinking either spark plugs or coil pack hopefully won't take them long to find out what it is and sort it lol

Cars still in at vauxhall just had a call from service centre saying they cannot find out what the issue is and it seems to be a serious underlying problem? and need to run a couple of hours diagnostics on the car and that it's not covered in warranty , £110 I don't have lol

I think ed could be pointing in the right direction... unfortunately vx themselves can be pretty damn useless at diagnosing faults.. so much so in my experience that I would never use them again, unless it was a warranty issue..

Tbh I feel like I'm being fobbed off surely if it was something as simple as a coil pack the first time they ran diagnostics it should have flagged up. But after two days now and they still don't have a clue without running two hours of diagnostics

a replacement coilpack would be cheaper i reckon.. if they don't find anything tell them you are not paying anymore as they have not diagnosed anything to be paid for.. don't back down, make them work for it.. let us know how you get on.

Well I'm hoping what ever it is that's wrong will be covered by warranty?, the only thing I'm having to pay for is the diagnostics at £55 an hour as diagnostics are not coverd by warranty ???, and I was told that it would take them two hours. Starting to think the trying to make some cash for the hastle it's causing, sorry if I sound naive it's first time I've ever bought a car from a dealership so I'm not up on what to expect
