Default Vectra 2.2 direct SRi exhaust - Scorpion

I'm looking for some advice regarding the replacement of my exhaust. The center section and 'Y' piece needs replacing, and i'm thinking about replacing the whole system with a Scorpion stainless steel one, but I don't want an exhaust that is too loud as I finish work late and don't want to annoy the neighbours. I'm hoping to be able to sell the original back boxes as they are in great condition to part fund the Scropion system.
Are they much louder than standard at low revs? I don't mind it being a bit louder once its cranked up.
Does anyone have a video of one?
How does the price compare with a standard VX replacement?

    Thanks in advance.

I have just fitted the Scorpion system to mine. On tick-over and low revs its not much louder, just a deeper note. But when you put your foot down, thats when it really comes to life....

Haven't got round to doing a video yet....

How does the Scorpion attach to the front pipe? From the photo's I've found online, it looks as though you have to cut off the flange?!

There is no flange in the kit, just sleeve adaptors!
    Which means cutting is required.

I did not have to cut anything on mine. There is an adapter piece which fits between the original exhaust and the Scorpion middle section. Just slot everything together and clamp it all up.......

This is the system I got....

Richie did you fit this yOurself? Was it easy enough, I've had my eye on the same one for ages! But don't think my diesel one is going to rot away fast enough lol. Apparently they last longer on a diesel. Did you notice much difference in the sound?

Yes, I fitted it myself. But I did have the use of a ramp, I think it would be a nightmare to try and do this on the ground. Definately notice the difference in sound, when accelerating/under load it gives a nice roar. But on tick-over or with the cruise control on it is only a little louder than standard.....
