Default Using holts radwield on 1.8 petrol vec

I think i may have a very small leak somewhere in the radiator or somewhere as im losing around half pint of water every two weeks or so, and when ive taken the car on a run and leave it n look under 10 min after theres always few little drips on floor under left hand side of radiator, maybe the cold spell in december had caused a small crack?? My question is does this sound common or like summet else or would it be worth giving the radwield a go and is this 100% safe to use, carnt block anything else up or anything? Thanks in advance

Personaly I would not use radweld, i'd rather find the leak and fix/replace whats causing it. Radweld can block the heater matrix and other thin coolant pipes, imo its not worth the risk, but some people use it without any problems.
As you have puddles it makes it easier to find the leak. I've had a leaking rad and expansion tank on my 1.8

Well, where the small amount of water is on the floor i put my hand up and in etc and everywhere seems dry! Jus hope it is a little leak and nowt more serious, i think my thermostat may be playing up also as it takes ages for my car to warm up and stay warm when heaters are on, so maybe this may play a part in it.

Rad weld will not help if you have leak on a hose or joint,, try to find the leak.

Probably the classic rusty joint along the off-side of the radiator, where the metal meets the plastic.

£50 and 45 minutes to fit.

    Can't recommend these enough.

Had a radiator for the Nova Gsi, AirCon Condenser for my old Astra G and a radiator for the Signum from them. All arrived very quickly and fitted easily.

I did a small write up how I swapped my rad in the Signum (no pics tho)
