£133 for a thermostat?!? The part itself isn't anywhere close to that much! Can fit it yourself - easy enough to do. Mine's a 2.2 DTi and I had to replace the thermostat on that. Bought the whole unit from Vauxhall for 40 odd quid and fitted it myself. Took maybe 20 minutes?

    Save the money!

Saved you even more if you had bought one of these.

It isn't easy on a 120 cdti, in fact its a pig of a job, even the stealers hate doing them. I would imagine the majority of the £133 is for labour as the part is about £40 from the stealer i believe.

Was told it was a pain on the 120 so in the garage it went. Need a new EGR said about £70 plus fitting I could do this myself. Should I fit A fiat blanking gasket to the new EGR or just have the standed gaskets on?

    Thansk Steve

    Hope the EML goes off

The price for the Thermostat on the CDTIs isn't too bad. Its an awful job.

£70+fitting for an EGR sounds ok also. Should only be 30mins labour max for a garage.

You can replace the EGR yourself its easy. I put the Fiat EGR semi-blanking plate on mine and I don't see any difference. Its was only a few quid so not that fussed.
