Not so "mini" Mini meet at ours today

Thanks to Dean, Ian & Jan, Bob, Khalid, Dez and Dave (Hyperhart) for their company and help today, it was a lot of fun.

Quite a lot achieved during the day.

I fitted Dez's new lights for him and with a little help from Dean (because I'd never fitted a set before) fitted his HIDs at the same time.

Dean & I checked Bob's rear suspension out as he's been getting some knocking noises and play, to find out he needs his rear upper control arms replacing as the outer bushes had gone.

Bob and Khalid worked their magic on my car, washing it and D/a'ing the boot to get rid of the marks from last weeks de-badging and then whilst we were looking at Bob's car, Khalid got the polish out and disappeared round my car for ages, polishing and cleaning just about everything in sight.

Dez washed his car with some help from Bob.

Last but by no means least Dean (with minimal help from me), changed my rear brake discs and pads (which I've been meaning to get done for months lol), unfortunately due to a few seized things, it took us rather longer than planned and it was pitch black by the time we'd finished.

Amy laid on a full roast beef dinner with all the trimmings followed by home made apple pie and home made trifle for all attendees which went down very well indeed. Many thanks also to Jan for helping Amy whilst we were outside.

cheers for the invite .... it was an epic day - headlights much better on the way home ....but no radio reception as the HIDS seem to be interfering with it so email sent to supplier and i'll await a reply ..... hopefully sortable and its only when driving .....

but as i said a cracking Day !!

well had another great day out . thanks to amy /jan for the dinner/many cups off coffee .was nice to see dez ,( ive pmd you ) and dave as well as the usual ones . today after washing /and bob sorting out the marks left from taken off the badges on ian ( highlanders ) car .i gave it a coat off cherry glaze from autobrite . it is a easy on/ off polish .so easy to work with and looks nice and glossy when .done .( good thing with this is it wont stain any black trim ) . im still learning on the mechanic side off things ,but ive learned how to change disc/pads .i think from the pros ,as light was fading we were ian was worried that it may not get done ,but dez had a nice torch to help dean/ian out .dean wasn,t to worried thou as he can do most car mechanical things blindfolded. .. khalid
