Boost Gauge in Centre Vent

My next thought for a project on my Signum is a boost gauge.

I don't want a pod on the dash so was thinking about fitting it into the driverside Centre air vent.

Has anyone done this? If so pics?

Or is there a version like this from a Vectra/Signum?

I realise that the idea will have to be different dur to the slats being separate.

Searched on here and really like the gauge that Duncan fitted (with the snazzy start up/shut down sequence). I believe it was a version similar to a Delfi gauge (which they don't make any more)

i looked into it and decided i did not want to loose the vent... i mounted it on a pillar pod instead as i also did not want it in the dash pod.. somebody mounted a gauge in the single vent above the lights switch but it looked a little too Blue Peter for my liking, i can't find the thread to show though..

Can't go Pillar Pod, due to an AirBag.

if you put pillar pods halfway up the pillar then you will have an issue, but if you put the pod low down near where you would put a naff dash mount pod then you will not have an issue..

If you remove the A pillar trim you will see that having a gauge down on the dash area is of no consequence..

If you look at the pics you will see i have mounted a 60mm gauge forward and below the airbag to be any problem.. furthermore it is mounted by sticky back velcro and if the airbag deployed it would go onto the dash by the windscreen..
