    Default New manifold fitted tomorrow.

Hi guys, I'm having my inlet manifold replaced tomorrow, I'm just checking I have everything I need.
    Manifold+gasket
    egr gasket (cleaning it)
    Timing belt kit.
    Water pump.
    Auxiliary belt.
    10k boost.
    4 litres coolant.
    Carb cleaner.
Also putting a new thermostat in, a mate is doing it for me at 9 in the morning. Am I missing anything? I don't want him to get half way through and discover I need something else. Thx.

lol. Funnily enough the car runs really well and has done for over 30,000 miles with the swirl bar lying on it's side. The egr has never been cleaned nor has it ever given me any problems, 65,000 on the clock now. The only reason I've decided to renew the manifold is because I've decided to keep the car for another 3 years or so, and I thought I'd sort out anything that needs doing. I just hope disturbing everything doesn't start giving me any problems.

The car had a full service a couple of months ago, glow plugs are working fine.

Considering all the negatives these 150 engines have, mines been brilliant, that's why I've decided to keep it. As Mc D's say, I'm lovin it.

The swirl thing is just a pain in the arse. Some manufactures actually do kits to delete them from the engine altogether as they are such a problem.

Treat it right and it will live on!
