    Default Exhaust and mot help

As above I have removed my rear silencer on my 1.9cdti estate it's not too long etc but now my exhaust ends at the point my rear doors end in the centre, question is will this fail a mot even if I put a tail pipe tip that points downwards which will expand it another 24cm

Reason I ask is there are loads of vans and flatness with exhausts that are short and finish underneath the van so will my car pass mot thanks guys

I couldn't say for sure, but as long as its not blowing and its fixed securely,i don't see why not.
Why have you done this by the way ?

worst comes to the worst ide imagine there is a metal fab shop or an exhaust uilders nearby that could make yu an extension with a tip etc for not great deal of money, as for the legality im not sure either, the place to look would be the mot manual, ill have a look at work on monday when you having it moted?

or if you can sit the backbox back on etc then once it comes back from the mot remove it again lol

According to this it'll fail mate

    http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_710.htm

    Reason for rejection

"a. A part of the system missing or excessively deteriorated"
