    Default fuse/ electrical Q,,,,,

    I want to wire up a fag lighter/aux/ socket/ in the 04 1.8 vec, it MUST BE live WHEN THE IGNITION IS SWICHED OFF, Any idea if there is a fuse in the front left foot well that is live with the ignition swiched off,,, its to run a small scanner. thanks ANT.

    Best thing to do is run a decent size cable through the loom grommet on the bulk head,and using an inline 10 amp fuse nearest to the battery,connect it to the battery,with a spade connector on the other end to the live part of the cig lighter/aux socket.

    yes it has at the moment,, your gizmo is a good tool but it seems a lot of dosh when a short bit of wire and a in line fuse would do me, but thanks for the thought.

    it an old one realistic

    : i run my laptop off it mains
    : to blow my tyres up i plug the machine in the cigarette socket {but you can in the car anyway

    : if you have a flat battery it can start the car up to a 5l engine.



    its up to 300w on the mains
    your scanner would be fine
