    Default Another jacking thread

Guys I know this has been asked before but I want to check something. I relize that there are four plastic blocks around the car to jack but these are mostly for locating the supplied jack. On looking though the other threads I see some ppl use wood cut to size in there and then a trolley jack but I would like to not use wood. So I think the other main jacking points on the front are just in front of those blocks and there is a hole in the middle of the flat section. Then just in front of the rear suspension arm there is another flat part with again the same hole. Are these the correct parts to jack on. As in where a garage would jack up on ( there is no way a garage is using the plastic blocks lol). Thanks again and yes I've used the search function and this is why I'm
    Asking. Thanks

I use a flat piece of wood that sits in the cup of my trolley jack, and is the same size as the cup and put this under the plastic blocks to jack my car up,and it's fine.

You will end up deforming that part of the under side of your car in the end and also scratch the paint off and cause it to rust prematurely in that area.
Its perfectly safe jacking up on the plastic blocks.

That is where i put them when using a 2 poster ramp with 4 lifting arms.
If it's good enough to take the weight of the car on the ramp,it's good enough for me to jack the car up using them, and if one breaks, they come out easy enough to replace.

yes but you must have very small ramp arms then or small lifting plates as i use the bits the op's on about with the hole in the middle lot safer in my book plus dont bend your sills
