Default Prefacelift V6 CDTi Rail Pressure Sensor

    Hi All,

Im totally new to this vectra forum, so apologies if this post is in the wrong place.

I've just bought the vectra above, and a DTUK CR2 tuning box, however, I cannot for the life of me, find the rail pressure sensor!

    Can anyone help??

    Cheers

    Really????

Had a tuning box on mine for 18mths without issue. It made a huge difference to performance too!!

Why do you say they don't like tuning? out of interest.

The rail pressure sensor is burried deep down in the engine and you will need to remove the upper manifold to get to it.

They don't like tuning very much as the engine is already at the limit. Not so much the pump (well that too) but other problems can arise if a tuned V6CDTi is ragged

Take a boxed 3.0 to Germany and drive it like the germans...then you will have problems.

Its not that one Celes, its on top of the motor under the plastic cover

    Follow this:
    http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/17.html

Takes a whole 3 mins. I put the unit into the battery casing. Just put mine back on (35k miles no problem). Oh I have missed it so!!!!!

I suggest you start conservative, mines on the lowest map, i found it overwhelmed the chassis and torque steer was pretty crazy on the high map, but each to their own.

    Enjoy!
