    Default can Scottish police seize a vehicle?

    as above for no insurance or tax. teenage muppet has moved in down the road with noisy moped which doesn't even have number plates.

    I would first of all report it on the crimestoppers website all anonymous and may get a result without contacting the police.

    Scottish police have the same power, but rarely use it

    There is also a retrospective power, that only applies in Scotland, if stopped for no licence or no insurance (but not both) the vehicle can be secured and left in place
    If the court convicts then the vehicle can be included for possesion and disposal
