Vacuum hose upgrade on 1.9cdti
Finally decided to fit the samco hose I have had lying about for ages. Changed 2 of the 3 hoses (not the one which disappears under the engine)
And......
Now have no hesitation or lag after 1200rpm! Pulls a little smoother and seems to be spoiling turbo up quicker
Shame I bought 3 meters, only used 30cm lol!
Next mod, airbox mod part deux!!!! (well just similar to vxr airbox)

Yeah just full lengths of pipe
I have loads of hose left so what I am going to do is cut it up and sell an upgrade kit to do the 2 small hoses

I dont get why this is called an upgrade, surely you are just replacing one vac hose with another. As for it making a car more responsive, i would suggest that the old hose had become porous, as they do, and so not maintaining vacuum. I replaced mine with replacement VX pipes, as the old ones had perished and the car performs great.
The old ones were as fitted from new and the car has covered 107k
