    Hi Guys,

I have an OEM Blaupunkt 2620 in my 09/2003 Holden Vectra CDXi.
I am having issues with the unit and am trying to get resolved under Holden Warranty, however can I replace this unit for a CD30 / CD40 Opera etc.
Or will it not be compatible?
I have the six buttons on my steering wheel if that helps.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Glenn

    Glenn,

I can't answer your question for certain, but here's my understanding of the situation:
The display module is responsible for interfacing the radio with the rest of the car. "Older" radios use an analog interface, and hence older displays have both a CAN and an analogue ("I2C"?) interface. Newer displays (and radios) only have the CAN interface.

So my guess is that newer (i.e. CAN-only) radios will work in all cars while older radios will only work in older cars.

Don't take this as gospel though...
