Default 57 plate CDTI estate for £4200. Bargain or one to be wary of?

Having not long since bought an estate myself I was shocked to see this one in a local car lot, 57 plate 1.9CDTI estate for £4200! I had to check it out online when I got home as it's bound to have spaceship mileage but no only 45k. Then I spot the intermittant starting fault mentioned, possible heater plugs? Surely if this was the case they'd fix it and get a lot more for the car?

So, is it a bargain or one to be very wary of?

I've hpi'd a car before and it still had an undisclosed repair on it,even though hpi was clear, and so did my brother too,but he still has the car.

    What do you mean undisclosed???

It's still a worth while precaution.

it's a realastic price for a motor with a fault imo... worth a punt if the mileage & service is verified, trouble with some cold starting faults is they don't always throw up codes... so could be plugs or could well be something a bit more sinister.

It has signs of repairs but it never came up on an hpi report.
I would perhaps do a check anyway, but don't take it for gospal.

That's because Hpi doesn't know what it's not told! If it's not recorded how will it know?????

The key word you used is undisclosed.

I know it won't know unless it's been reported by the insurance company,or who ever report these things.
My key word was because its been repaired without going through the insurance,so it has been undisclosed to the insurance company/hpi company.

Its a 120 8 valve, so not that much under price
if I wanted it I would be very carefull and check everything I could,,, it could end costing more than a good un.
