    Default Vectra C 1.9cdti (120) Steering pump

Hi, Could anyone tell me if I replace the steering pump from my car with one from a donor car - will it need programming into the ECU even though the old one is not showing a fault, and if so what details would I need for the replacement pump.
    Thanks

replacing the pump will throw the steering light on but it will work will need a tech2 session too remove the light if it bothers you, there are 2 types of pump one is on the steering rack itself 05 onwards iirc and the other is under the drivers side headlamp(before 05ish). hope this helps
