Default Got an in-car camera today.........

Well been meaning to get an in car DV camera for a long time. Finally found a brand new Flip minoHD on ebay at a great price. Had to collect it from the local post office depot as I missed the postmans first delivery. Unpacked it in the car and used it for the short journey on the way back home.

The journey back home was short but in that short time there were two incidents of bad driving, all recorded!

first one was a car turning right from a side road even tho there is a NO right turn sign. Second one was the driver in the white car changing lanes at the roundabout (from a right turn only lane to an ahead and left only lane)and cutting up the driver behind. At least he used his indicator I suppose.

video can be seen here in HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btdaKFIeixI&hd=1

This is the camera I got http://www.theflip.com/en-gb/Products/mino.aspx

I'm liking that, good quality picture. How long can it record for? Does it overwrite itself when memory full? How does it mount to the dash?

It can record for 1 hour, not sure if it will overwrite itself yet.
I mounted it to the dash with Bubblegum.............

only kidding I used a suction camera mount fitted to the windscreen (£8 from ebay). I am going to customise the mount to make a permanent fixing up by the rear view mirror tomorrow

Looking good that mate, I got one just after Christmas. It doesn't look as good quality as yours but the pictures good and it overwrites so i'm happy.

Very good quality, but I am not seeing its use? Why do you need it?

THIS one mate. I've just got a piggy back fuse holder so I can hard wire it into the fuse box without cutting into any wires.

Wait till a car or bus in my case comes onto a roundabout and drives into the side of you. You soon realise the insurance companies no longer want to fight for you and are happy to go 50/50 with each other even though it was blatantly the other drivers fault. With evidence you cant go wrong.
