Default How much for v6 head gasket replacement?

Hi guys wondering if anyone could tell me how much I should expect to pay for v6 cdti headgasket to be replaced?

Haven't investigated yet as I'm not home. Was going to do work meself but since the ex is being shall we say a pain to say least complaining she wants it off her drive. Looks like a might have to suck it up and get someone to do it since I'm not gonna have enough tine at home to do it

I've got trade club so getting parts will be fine it's more labour I'm concerned about. Anybody no roughly how many hours a v6 should take?

Phoned local dealer today so I could see what prices where good etc. And they said 1800 Inc parts and labour

Are they having a joke or what no chance I'd ever pay that for headgasket.
I appreciate it's a v6 and I've only ever done landrover but surly not that bad?

Both heads off, checking liners (if sunk for more than 0.4mm - scrap the thing), new gaskets, refurbishing heads, new oil, new coolant, new oil filter, new timing belt,...refitting... a lot of money there...

Is the coolant tank under way too much pressure? This would indicate an internal problem. It could be losing coolant at the radiator or heater matrix (or whatever you name that thing that heats up the interior lol). Mine is losing coolant randomly...no pressure in the header tank, no leaks, no nasty white-ish smoke...complete mistery...

I'm not sure until Saturday. Bought car as a summer project but new circumstances means needs doin asap

Told by previous owner loosing coolant they had to top up. But never overheated. an a garage told them suspected headgasket. That's really all I no until I get home an have a look. Was sort of hoping someone would say cmon for heater matrix to fail etc something along them lines which means a can get it off her drive and out the v's up at her lol
