    Default Alarm

Hi i have just replaced the battery on my vectra a few days ago as i thought it was goosed i have tried to start car yesterday and the new battery is flat i have tested the alternator and it is puting out 14.4 v and the battery once charged is holding 12.96 volts i have noticed the red led light on the alarm button flashes right from the start insteadof being solid the n flash according to the vectra manual there is a problem with a sensor i have put it on a snap on scanner and there are no code faults any ideas where are the door and boot sensors i have tested the connection and switch for the bonnet already and that is ok , could a dodgy alternator diode cause this

ok last night i manually shut the car doors and never set the alarm when i went out this morning the battery was exactly the same voltage as left last night so it is the alarm system that is draining the battery does anyone have any ideas of where to start to find out what part is causing the problem my car is a hatchback

There are two parts to the alarm, the siren unit in the left hand side cubbyhole as you open the boot and the ECU part of it where the BCM ecu is which can be seen once the glove box is removed, I would advise to disconnect the siren first and see if this is the cause of the drain.

It's by interior light mate by the rear mirror, I would check connectors and make sure it's plugged it correctly then try and set alarm to see if the fault has gone
