Default Signum ride very harsh, what to do?

    Need some advice

I have a 2007 3.0 CDTI Signum Auto Elite and I am finding the ride very harsh, what is the best thing to do?

The car is running on 18" XP2 multi spoke as an original option fitted with 225/45 18 tyres.

Should I change the wheels to the standard Elite 17" wheel with 215/55 17 tyres, will this make the ride more comfortable. this will also give the same rolling radius?

Or would I need to change the suspension?

    Paul

How many miles mate and has the ride felt harsh since the day you owned it? If its got worse over time, I wodul suspect the suspension is on its way out.

I though the elite was the 'soft floaty one!'

I would change your wheels, that way I could have them. The XP2 wheels are nice.

Are the tyre pressures correct? Too high and they would make it harsh (but improve the mpg).

Think you are right about the suspension, think I will just have to live with it.

    Thanks everyone for your input

Aye, my 3.2 elite has the sports susp pack and is much firmer. I prefer it that way though and I soon learnt to avoid the speed bump routes.
