Default How long for V5 to arrive?

First of all a quick hello seen asthough im new!

Currently in the middle of purchasing my facelift vectra c 2.0T and trading in my fiesta, however the garage wont accept the part exchange with the current private plates on so i've had to put the plates on retention. Question is how long are the DVLA currently taking before the log book arrives back? as i've heard anywere from 2 to 6 weeks!

i've put a deposit down on the car so hopefully the dealership will bear with me untill it arrives, although i cant see them been to happy about waiting any longer than two weeks!

its already been a week today and heard nothing from DVLA

    any advice would be appreciated

    thanks

2-6 weeks sounds about right, took 4 weeks for my last one to come.

All depends on the time of year tbh. Just now i'd think they may be quieter so your probably looking at 2-3 weeks max for it.

It can take longer in March and September when the new registrations come out

Just now they are pretty quick on returning logbooks. I put my retention in a week past Friday, was back in on Friday to collect the replacement tax discs, replacement V5 arrived yesterday. DVLA had sent it out on the 28th so only took 5 days including the weekend.

Thanks for the replys looks like it should be along shortly then:-)

so am i right in thinking that seen asthough ive left a deposit and signed an order form the garage cant just turn around and say basically, 'ya'v took to long do one'?

or can they vary the price with regards to the part exchange or purchase price of the vectra?

You've paid a deposit, agreed a price, they cant go back on there word. As long as your not doing silly silly mileage in it everything should be fine. At the end of the day, it's out of your hands.

Dont forget some piccies of your 2.0T when you get it.
