Default Engine Management Light & Hesitation

    Engine Management Light & Hesitation.
I have a problem with my veccy as I pull away in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears I notice a bit of hesitation. In fact, in first gear I put my foot flat to the metal, and it took the car about a 1 or 2 second delay before giving power - it actually felt like a turbo kicking in. Then in 2nd and 3rd I could feel what felt like mini misfires through the acceleration range.

I later took it out for a drive which happened to last 40 miles or so, and although it is a beautiful car to drive, I noticed even at higher speeds (upto 70) the slight misfires. Also at idling I noticed the engine sounded like it was accelerating and dipping ever so slightly, in fact it felt and almost sounded like a v12 engine would do, just not very loud.

Anyway, today I set off for work and same thing in 1st - 3rd gear happened. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas as to what this problem maybe then I would be grateful for your input (or a link to any threads on here which I may have missed in the searches).
I have changed the oil, plugs, filter checked the airflow meter and air filter all are fine, the ngine management light is on constantly , hellllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppppp

Ok guys I fixed it at last, after much greying of hair and stress and loss of money to useless stealesr (ooooppps i mean Vauxhalls) it was the MAF, i find this out after having brought and replaced the o2 oxygen sensor position 1,the cat (ouch expensive) air filter and he MAf that is,after suffering multiple heart failures I said no thanks and went to good old E-bay the land of cheap but not bad imitations, found a an aftermarket MAF for £32.99,came this morning, fitted it in like 2 minutes and hey presto my baby now goes like a frakkin rocket all hail the beauty of a Veccy that drives like a dream.

Its a lovely feeling when your car has been misbehavin for ages and you finally get it sorted and go for a nice smooth drive.
So did the dealer replace loads of parts that didn't fix it but charged you for them? Have I understood it correctly?
Thats why I stay away from garages if I can help it. If we are just gonna randomly replace likely parts until we fix it, I can do that myself!!!!

Default The Beauty of the Vectra c

Stealers wanted to replace some of the parts Maf and the O2 sensor for lmfao prices but i bought the after market versions from e bay for a quarter of the price, after replaceing the O2 sensor and thge cat i finally got to the Maf which wa the problem,so Stealers only got £40 from me for looking at the codes, after i had had them read the codes i discovered my local ATS wil code read it for nothing and clear all codes for nothing,so stealers can whistle,as for paying there frakkin ridiculous minimum hourly rate (£80 rofl) i fitted the maf myself, took me 2 minutes literally and i saved £80.
And yes its sooooooooooooooooooo good to get back in my baby and feel her pulling and feel the power under the pedal zoooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmm.
