    Default Oxygen Sensor recall

Dropped my 2.2 direct off for its second service this morning and they said that they would also be doing a recall on the 'oxygen sensor'.

Don't know anything more than that, but I haven't received anything in the post. Not very mechanically minded, but I thought you might want to know!!

Sounds like there is a fault with the "lambda probe"[ oxegen sensor]to us it is situated on the exhaust down pipe, it measures the co2 content in the exhaust gases...

quote from my post of 13/7 @ 2258

ECU software upgraded to version 71 (72 is the latest but they had problems loading it on to their system so that will have to wait until it goes in next time)... had to get beyond vers 65 and then see if the oxygen sensor was showing as a fault which in the case of mine it was not so didn't need it changed. Fyi, it did say on the bulletin that Vx would cover this work under warranty up until Dec 2007.

Sorry, wasn't aware of your post. They have indeed said that they have 're-programmed the ECU'.

    Don't notice any difference though.
