Default Traction Control Switch on Vectra C

    Hi all,

With all the posts about can you fit a traction control switch on the facelift vectra or not I can say it worked on the wifes Vectra. Car is Facelift vectra (c) 57 reg 3.0 v6 cdti elite with abs/esp with v7 ecu software.
The steering wheel has the thumbscroll buttons on the wheel i.e. volume up and down is done with the right hand thumb pushing it up and down. Not the earlier wheel with just the 6 of buttons.
The wiring was in place on pin 3 on the abs ecu (blue/red stripe)
This connects to Pin 5 on the traction control switch which is the second one down.
Pin 6 (top pin) should be connected to body earth(ground).
The switch is a momentary switch not a latched switch.
All the wiring was in place on this car and I didn't have to add any.

I thought I would give some feedback to see if it helps others.

btw can anyone confirm what the latest firmware is for the cd70?
I put it in to test mode and got the firmware of 04/04/2007
    Is 10/10/2007 the latest one?
    Can anyone recommend a re-seller for 2011 maps for the cd70 ?

    Cheers

    Nick.

    Default

It is quite common for the TC switch to work on the 3.0 CDTi facelift as it has TC and ESP as standard. Mine did as well on my old Signum 3.0 facelift. All facelift cars and pre-facelift from mid/late 2004 had the thumbscroll steering wheel controls, this is when the cars went over to full canbus.

The main cause of confusion about the facelift cars is that many people were asking if it worked when they didnt have any TC to begin with.
