Default Signum (07) V6 CDTI front brakes

Car has just failed MOT on front brakes; disks and pads, where's the best place to buy them? I take it they're the 314mm disks aren't they.

Cheapest price I can find is £95 on ebay

Yes they should be. I believe VX do a "kit" which contains both disks and pads cheaper than that but the parts dept often don't know they exist and insist you need to buy them separately at a lot more cost.

I think the part number is in the part number section but I'm sure someone will post it up if not.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

93186299 is the part number I have written down, not sure if it's still valid or been replaced by a newer one.

Yes, coming in at about £90 incl VAT now
    Add about £70 for fitting

    What did they fail on?
I could understand it if the pads or discs failed, but not both
If it is simply the brake efficiency, then get the discs measured, the pads die when they are about 80% worn, but you can easily get three sets of pads to one set of discs

    It's failed on:
'Service breake imbalance on steered axle'

An they said the fix is new disks and pads, they wanted £305 fitted!

Apparently ur allowed an imbalance of 25% these were 36%.
