    Default 12v powerpoint

    any ideas will be appreciated , my cars 12v powerpoint at dash isnt working , i have changed the 30amp fuse (22) i believe and still nothing , the car doesnt have one in the rear either its blanked off , let me know your thoughts cheers ...

    Did it work previously?

    What did you plug into it to make the fuse blow?

    Sorry if it's teaching grandma to suck eggs, but you're aware that it only works with the ignition on?

    cheers big dave , i bought the car almost a year ago and i realised it never worked when i tried to use my sat nav, i changed fuse 22 ,30amp...fuse looked fine but i changed it anyway , then i tried to use my ipod adaptor in it and it still never worked , i had ignition on and even started the car just to make sure lol...

    Is it the 12v power point or a cigarette lighter mate? I've found that the cig lighter (fitted to mine) has a really crap connection and you have to wiggle the plug a bit to get it to work.

    Also is it plugged in underneath

    hi john , its the powerpoint next to the ashtray at front , it must be plugged underneath, i might have a look to see if i can remove it and check plug , thanks mate.

    If you remove the ashtray you should be able to see underneath it mate

    thanks much john and big dave for the replies , thats it sorted lol only took me nearly a year hehe , plug was off the back...no idea how it came to be like that but ho hum its done now..! how are you guys with broken front springs ...only kiddin , i will give that a bash at weekend only part im concerned about is top strut bolt removal...anyway im rambling thanks guys....
