Well I have tested some more maps tonight and I am now running 28psi right upto the red line. I am running as much fuel as I can with the water/methanol flat out and it's still looking clean out the back window. I shall have to look at bigger injectors or a remap aswell as the box. Don't want to just increase timing because it will be less effective at high revs.
Sounds good, what do you think it's making power wise now at 28psi? This must be getting close to what the internals can take as standard surely? Hats off to you for doing it!
Id be interested to see what Paul can do with it. Would you take it to him for a map, or do you have someone you usually use?
With all them mods now mate surely you need a remap rather than a box now.
I have been looking to uprate my turbo like you. Will you be able to do a run with without the water/menthol injection so you get some results just based on the new turbo?
Three runs
1) Maxed out
2) No extra boost
3) Was going to run with standard fuel and boost but might go without water/methanol.
My plan on mine is to fit an uprated Sachs clutch, new DMF (awaiting a quote on the work) and then depending on your results get the Turbo uprated
