Saab central is your best place for that info mate.

Good luck to u though I certainly wouldnt fancy it n my advice would be to get a spare ecu incase it goes belly up.

there are a fair few apps that allow you to map your ecu,, the problem is with maps for your particular engine.. Now many will tell you that you can get maps from the internet, this is true, however it is also no unheard of for people to supply a map that is nothing but crap, there is a famous case of how a car ecu was wrecked with a map uploaded that basically contained an elvis mp3..

People have tried using other peoples backup maps, these were maps take of peoples cars as a backup before an new map was installed etc.. However these are not directly transferable from one car to another, i understand they need to be edited first. A saab map from 9-3 Aero would not necessarily be a good idea as they have different components as standard..

A member on here is going through the hell of dealing with a cheap remapper at the moment, they could not remap it but they found this out after they wiped his ecu first leaving his car dead. Apparently they say they can now sort it but they obviously do not know what they are doing with vec with this 2.0 turbo engine..

My view on this is quite blunt.. how much is your car worth, is it really worth skimping a couple of hundred quid to attempt to get more power.. If you knew what you were doing you would not be asking this question in the first place.. Leave it to those that know what they are doingm if they screw it up they have to fix it, if you screw it up you have buy a new car... simples...

Doing a remap yourself is a bit like giving your self a cataract operation - feasible if you're an expert, but likely to end in tears if your don't.

Get a professional to do it:

www.TorquingBHP.co.uk (I can personally recommend them)
    MapTun (Nige loves them)
    Superchips

Gotta get some mileage out of that damn credit card bill

Seriously though, the car is awesome to drive now compared to how it was, the boys at Neo Brothers really know their stuff.

As Jezzy says, it's not listed under Vectra for some reason, but the z20net engine (the 2.0T) is a Saab engine used in the Saab 9-3 SS.

In the Uk, there is a Saab specialist called Neo Brothers who have now re-mapped a few cars from here including mine using custom Maptun maps with fantastic results. Take a look at Caveman_Nige's 2.0T Signum which is now running Stage 5 maptun map from Neo Brothers at approx 280bhp.
