    Thumbs up Kwikfit issues

had to have new brakes on the front of the vectra after my Mot in january, Kwikfit have a lifetime promise, but since having them done my drivers front wheel is constantly squeeling. have taken it back once and they stripped the brakes and cleaned them and put back together. today have taken car back after a week of constant squeeling and left it in all afternoon, got a phone call first saying where is the locking nut for the wheels and told him that the fronts don't have the locking nuts on, next phone call later to tell me that my car doesn't like there pads and have to order vauxhall brakes for the veccy. good thing about all this is its all free due to there lifetime promise, but they havent really impressed me but would recommend there brake offers though.

They will have used the cheapest of cheap pads which the Vec/Signum doesn't like. Only dearer (or genuine) ones should be really used unless you can stand the squeeling

    Likewise... Not my favourite place...

They let me drive away from their Slough branch with totally mis-aligned wheels in my mk3 Astra.

Took it in for tracking, paid the bill and left. Went straight on to the M4 and the car was shaking like crazy. Got off at the next junction and took it straight back, only for them to tell me that the track rod ends were seized solid and needed replacing!

i wouldnt trust kwik fit with a push bike tbh, well known for making work for themselves too, go in for a new spare tyre, and you end up being told by a spotty yts kid who knows it all, saying that you need new tyres/pads all round and 4 wheel alignment lol

After the hassles you've had, I don't understand why you would reccomend their brake offers. When your current pads wear out and you go back there for some replacement pads, they'll still fit the cheapo ones again, and you'll have to go back to complain again.

The cheap nasty pads they fitted at first probably cost them less than a tenner! Cowboys is all I class them as.
