Clutch Problem

Hi,

Driving to work today and lost clutch. Pedel dropped to floor and hydrolic fluid everywhere. Had to get towed home.

Not taken to garage yet.

What sort of work needs doing to fix it? Is it going to be expensive.

you dont say what car you have but i'm guessing its one with the slave cylinder inside the bell housing !? its a gearbox off to rectify so repair will vary on where you take it ?

where is the leak? rear of the engine? or half way forward on the right hand side?

if it's at the back, it's probably a knackered master cylinder. if it's on the passenger side, it's most likely the slave cylinder as bembo has said. fingers crossed for you that it's the former...
