    Default V6CDTi - Valve clearance values - URGENT -

Taking the car to my mechanic tomorrow to replace all 6 injectors so while the rocker covers will be off I was thinking we could readjust the valves. I could't find the clearance values myself, so could any of you please check? Inlet - Exhaust valves, warm - cold engine.

I hope this is quick enough, its the only clearance tolerances I can see.

    Check 4x valve play, cylinder-1
    • With feeler gauge
Note: Check valve play with the engine cold - room temperature.
    – Test values: Intake valves/exhaust valves 0.40 mm!

    35. Turn crankshaft
Note: Turn crankshaft evenly. Turn crankshaft evenly until KM-6380 (1) (intake side) can be inserted. Note differing tool designs for intake and exhaust valves.
    • Marking - IN = Intake side
    – Marking - EX = Exhaust side

Important: The valves may not strike the crown of the piston! Use a suitable cover (2) to seal oil bores and camshaft housing over the entire width! The adjusting discs can slip or stick.

    36. Adjust 2x intake valve play - cylinder-1 (part 1)
    • Use KM-609-6 (3)

    • Turn valve lifter until lifter groove points outwards

    • Valve lifter with KM-6380 (1)

    37. Adjust 2x intake valve play - cylinder-1 (part 2)
    • Lever out adjusting disc (4) with screwdriver (5)

    • Example for determining the thickness of the adjusting disc
    – Thickness of the adjusting disc fitted plus valve play measured minus preset value produces the thickness of the new adjusting disc

    • Insert adjusting disc
Note: Coat new adjusting disc with engine oil. Insert in valve lifter with marking pointing downwards
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
