Default Water leak - dash removal

    Hi there,

I have a water leak on the passenger side which I think is coming from the windscreen / wing / A-pillar area where they all meet, but only when the car is parked on a slope (front up)

I have checked the pollen filter drains and re-sealed the pollen filter itself.

I also replaced the windscreen so it can't be that.

I've had the wing off and sealed where I though it was getting in, but its still leaking so I'm going to take the dash out as the next step..

Bigmac has suggested that it could be the trims on the roof, but I can get the leak to happen with just pouring water on the bottom corner of the windscreen.

    Any suggestion guys?

    Thanks in advance
    Stewart

I've heard of one case similar to yours, where the guy thought it must be the windscreen, but I kept insisting it was the pollen filter/drain hole as the water was on the passenger side, even though he said he'd checked it several times. It turned out the pollen filter plastic housing had warped and slightly come away from the bulkhead.

thanks, but its definitely not that - I had removed the pollen filter and resealed it - its bone dry behind there..

When I pour the water to reproduce the leak, the water doesn't go over that far..

In fact I can see the water dripping down when I remove the passenger door seal and the little plastic door on the end of the dash and look up the side of the dash

Mine did that, a cable near the pollen filter which goes through a rubber grommet had been pulled at some point and the rubber grommet had come out leaving a big hole. The water ran down the cable into the foot well.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
