    Default Multi Car Insurance..

??Does anyone else have multi car insurance(2 cars on one policy)?does it work for you ?and what are the pitfalls.
Thinking of going down this route, might get the costs down a little.

Although it's a good idea, after the stories i've heard about Admiral, Elephant and Bell I wouldn't bother

out of interest what is it you have heard?

In general though it can be cheaper depending on the details, other advantage means doing them together makes you just have to renew insurance once a year so can be more convinience

I know of one guy who was told that they wouldn't pursue a fault claim even although it was clearly the other person's fault. Admiral said they should take 50/50 blame.

There is of course the fact that they charge for you to add a spoiler or similar. I was charged 30 odd quid to add front and rear spoilers to my car. Of course if I were to have an accident the most they would do is put the car back to standard. So why pay the extra 30 quid?

Thats why I ended up with adrian flux, they only charge for performance mods and till now i've had no problems with them

Oh and not forgetting the use of english call centres

I have Admirals multi car policy which I have at the moment, my insignia, my wifes clio and daughters clio.
At renewal time I priced all the policies seperate and it came back about £1300 for all three, Admirals renewal came back at £1107.
I called them and told them that I wasn't happy with renewal quote and got all three insured for £1055.
Each driver earns their own no-claims bonus, my wife and my bonuses are protected, my daughter has just turned eighteen and has 1 years bonus.
My daughters excess is £350, my wife and mines is £100.
My youngest daughter will be seventeen in October and I have already been looking at insurance quotes and I can get her onto the multi car policy for and additional £675 for a 2003 mini cooper or for £586 she can have a 2008 clio 1.5dci.
When I have called to discuss anything with them it has always been with clearly spoken english.
I have been with Admiral for 2 years now and I intend to stay with them.
