A blast from the past!

Although my brother has owned my first Vectra SRi 1.9 CDTi 150 since I sold it to him in March 2006, I have never driven it since.

Now on 106000 miles he bought it round as for the first time in his ownership, the management light has come on and wanted me to have a look.

Not sure what it is but took it for a drive anyway. It still goes like hell and the engine is as sweat as a nut.

DMF is getting a bit rattly now, but I suppose 106000 miles is not bad for a DMF!! I was wondering if the EGR valve is on it's way out (Still on it's original) but the way it drove doesnt point to the EGR.

But we'll get it booked in to see what is wrong, but it was nice to drive it again!

Just needs a ****** good clean!

Engine management light possibly the EGR valve. They don't always give obvious symptoms. Mine is very slight and your brothers Vectra would have been like that for a while too.

As for the DMF this is where I back you - rattling for 90k/4 years.

Very nice spec, full factory leathger with heated seats, full colour sat nav, rear window sunblinds.

Still has the Irmscher rear spoiler, but the Irmscher front splitter is long gone and now sits on GSI wheels.

Just could do with a bit of love and TLC, oh and a ****** good clean!
