    Default The best screenwash?

Im having a problem in that the screenwash the previous owner has been using has went gunky and as i use my screenwash/headlight wash im getting little bits of blue gunk all over the lights and bodywork which is doing my nut in.

Im looking for concentrated screenwash which is'nt coloured (blue/pink) and no smell nice additives as i believe this is what causes the nastys that come along with it. Does anyone know of screenwash that just have the kind of alcohol smell that dont cause gunky build up???

Im getting an idea of using BMW or VAG screenwash has anyone ever used these as im not sure if they are exactly what i need?

At the moment i just filling up with water only to try and run out the blue gunk.

I flushed mine out by just putting hose pipe in it and flushed it out.

Now i use Halfords screenwash (Cheap and very good IMO).

It is bright green, but if you use yoru screenwash lots then you wont get the gunk anyway.

I use mine alot nd have never had it gunk up. In the winter It was highly concentrated and never froze as well.

Flush it out, I think there is a how2 on cleaning the washer bottle and filter?

I tried the halfords stuff and its good but maybe I was using it too strong and it was just green!

Moved to Motoquip stuff now, I get 5L of concentrate for £4 and its light blue so when mixed with water its clear(ish) and odourless.

Heard a lot of good reports of the autoglym stuff. Expensive but very good.

Just had a search and it has a light colouring to it. I think i will get round to syphoning it out and sticking the hosepipe in it and let all the gunk run out the top and fill it up with something decent.
