    Default Headlight bulbs - D2R or D2S?

Anyone any idea whether it’s a D2R or D2S variant xenon fitted to a 2003 GSi with Xenon headlights. I been looking at the sites and £60 for the D2Rs and £50 for the D2S looks like a good price.

One of the sites was offering “HID Xenon 6000K or 8000K Upgrade Bulbs (Blue tint look) for D2S and D2R” for £70.

I would prefer not to take one out to check, but if there is any doubt I will (I believe the DSR has a band just up from the bottom of the bulb).

    Thanks for the info Mark.

I guess the fact the bulbs are delivered by helicopter and the packaging is insulated by gold, makes it difficult for the dealer to compete.

I noticed the company on a link in the styling section posted by Green Growler

I know they last a long time but I would still like to have a spare.

I think if you are going abroad you are supposed to have spare bulbs etc. (and your GB sticker)

Xenons do last a long time, and you shoud never have to change them.

But I do know that sometimes when they do go they like to go out with a bang, ive seen a omega in my local garage where the nearside lamp had blown, it had also taken the housing out as well as the ballast... that wasnt cheap I can belive.
