Firstly I sent my ECU to Courtenay this week and had a stage 1 re-map installed. Got it back a day later and re-fitted to the car.
Don't know what it's like on the road yet as it is still SORN. But this map is for a standard car, so when the weather is better I will go over to Courtenay and have it tweaked on the rolling road to take into account my other mechanical modifications.
Then my attention was the rear of the car. I have always liked the way the European Opel Astra's have the 'Astra' badge on the left and lose the 'OPEL' name plate.
I don't like how we have 'VAUXHALL' on the left and 'ASTRA' on the right. So I bought a new 'ASTRA' and fitted it to the left in the right place.
But what to have on the right? A '2.2' badge looked lost so I did the following :-
I bought a Cavalier 'Expression' badge, and had a friend of mine create a 'Linea Rossa' graphic made.
I think it looks really nice and 'factory', It is being re-done to move the 'Linea Rossa' a little more to the left.
What do you think?
