    Vehicle : Vectra C

    Trim : SRi 140bhp

    Engine : 1.8

    Year : 2007

    Mileage : 60,000

    Default New (to me) 1.8SRi

Hi Guys, I've recently got myself a 57reg Vectra and have a few questions for you all.

What are the standard toys on the SRi? I've been reading the manual and that details all toys Vauxhal offer but doesn't list trim levels. I know I don't have the auto windows cos i've tried playing with that already lol.

Also it was due its 3rd service in November last year but due to the time between the previous owner trading it in and me buying it that wasn't done, is it wirth trying to continue with the 'full service history' route or should I just service it myself? If I do it myself whats due to be changed/checked in year 3? And if I don't how much are Vauxhal likely to charge for the service?

Also when is the cambelt (or is it a chain) due to be changed its done just under 30k miles which I think is really good for a 3y3m old car.

What sort of clutch is in the car as it has a towbar and tho its not essential to do yet the clutch is slightly high to what I would expect and I'd hate to have the DMF clutch lol. I'm not sure if the previous owner was towing a caravan (I'd hope not with only a 1.8 under the bonnet lol) or just a trailer.

Is there anyway to open the boot without unlocking the whole car? Or how hard would it be to fit a boot relase button on my keyfob, I have the 2 button fob not the 3 button one.

Thanks in advance and sorry if any of these are pointless queries

Ooh and another question. When I put my handbrake on i get the normal 3 or so small click's but I also get 1 big click and it feels like something in the handle is moving, could the cable need replacing?

    Default

    Does it have a warranty?

If not i suggest getting a Vauxhall one - Probs the best one you can get.

would mean getting a vx service history though i think.

Not sure on the 1.8 the other bits will let others tell ya.

Think the Standard SRi stuff is Air con, lowered over normal (i think).

a 1.8 will tow a caravan no probs - my mate had one and had no probs doing it.

    dont think its DMF though.

and nope, have to unlock the whole car.

I thought the Vectra came with a standard 3 year warranty and was only valid with the first owner? If thats the case i'll give Vauxhall a ring tomoz and ask how much for an extended warranty.

Ty for the other info, I'll be happy if its not a DMF clutch cos they cost loads to replace I think, and tho the engine can handle a caravan its the clutch that suffers. And I suppose I'll have to suffer with unlocking the whole car just to use the boot lol
