    Default Left foot braking

    drivin home tonight down the back lanes thought id turn all colin mcrea and try some left foot braking keepin right foot on throttle used left foot to brake done it before fine in other cars dunno why but in the vectra it cuts the power and u have to re apply the throttle how strange!!!

    thats interesting, it dosent on mine mate, have done that many times with no loss of power.....strange.

    its like there is nothin there if i keep my foot down it comes back after bout 5 secs dunno jus wondered if anyone else done it spoiled my fun lol

    It's the electronic throttle control. As soon as you put the brakes on it cuts the throttle. This is to save your bacon when the throttle pedal gets stuck. It also looks after your brakes.

    Unfortunately it also means left foot braking is not something you can do.

    By coincidence I tried the same thing yesterday...

    So were you guys watching Sabine on the ring in the Transit the night before by any chance ?? throttle to the floor the whole way round and a 10.08 in a 136bhp transit van !!!

    This has been mentioned before, some cars do and some don't. My '54 Full Canbus SRi can be revved as much as you want WITH the foot brake pressed down as well

    Bu66ers up heel and toeing too, mind you with the pedals sp far apart you need size 19 boots to try it!

    That was on SBS here last Monday... very cool
