    Default HELP!!! oil pump

Its becoming a really long story... basically i snapped an alternator pully. The mechanic i use put a new one on but used a bolt that was a few mm to long. This sheared off and smashed the oil pump. New oil pump needed!
This is nearly 6weeks ago. NO CAR! I've been waiting on this part for 5 of those weeks! Can anyone help? The part number is 55215401. Its a 150 diesel 1.9 lump. Main dealers cant get hold of them, whats going on?

    Please help guys!

Remember that its a Fiat engine so you could try Fiat for one and see if they have any in stock.

Maybe some could advise if this is the right pump too.

Part number 55198355 in Ebay is only listed on Vauxhall EPC for Z191DTL and Z19DT engines. The correct pump for the Z191DTH is 55215401, so i doubt the Ebay one is correct, even though it is a very good price.

Maybe try your local motor factors and ask them to try a cross reference on part number 55215401. They use a program called Techdoc, which will show them if there are other manufacturers of pump and if so,they might be able to get you one.

The PN 55215401 is correct. There is no stock in the UK but there are 2 here in Germany - ask your dealer to order it 'no stocked'.

The fiat PN is the same PN for their JTD version.

Surely the dealer would have checked for non stock on Channel21 locator, just goes to show, another dealer who doesn't know there stuff. Well done for finding the pump for Awkward Kid.

Do you work for Opel in Gemany I cdti?

Cheers for the help boys! One turned up on Saturday after 4wks of back order. I did find out in the meantime that the 1.7 lump oil pump should work. Apparently the 1.7 lumps are bored out to 1.9, so share a lot of parts.

    Again thanks for the help

Glad you are sorted, but who told you the 1.7 & 1.9 are the same???

The 1.7 & 1.9 are different designs, the 1.7 is Isuzu, the 1.9 is Fiat.
