Incase it affects you in your travels, this is happening SAT & SUN this week

TO CLARIFY ROUTE ....CHESTER SERVICES TO M53 ROUNDABOUT ALONG A5117 ....4TH EXIT AT ROUNDABOUT CALLED STANNEY MILL LANE....DOWN STANNEY MILL LANE , WE THEN TURN RIGHT ON TO NEW BRIDGE ROAD....WE CONTINUE ALONG NEW BRIDGE ROAD WHICH RUNS INT...O SOUTH ROAD......AT THE T JUNCTION OF SOUTH ROAD AND OIL SITES ROAD WE TURN LEFT TOWARDS BOAT MUSUEM...( WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TURN RIGHT TOWARDS SHELL ) DRIVE TOWARDS THE BOAT MUSUEM WHERE WE APPROACH A ROUNDABOUT,WE THEN GO ROUND THE ROUNDABOUT BACK TOWARDS OIL SITES ROAD......WHERE WE HEAD BACK TOWARDS SOUTH ROAD...WE THEN WILL BE GIVEN A PARKING PLACE ON SOUTH ROAD WHERE WE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK ...FOOT PROTEST WILL FOLLOW FROM THERE

So they go slow in order to save fuel, do they? I guess that makes some sense, but they'd save even more by staying at home...

Well that'a more or less a lap around our housing estate and beyond. Looks like a weekend doing the garden at home then.

I was there last time, spent most of the time trying to get behind the tv reporter so I'd be on the tele lol. I failed.

This is a private road about a mile long which Shell used to allow the public to use. The road runs up to the entrance to the refinery.

A couple of years ago the H & S manager organised speed traps to test how fast people were driving on their road. The results were that a large percentage were exceeding the limit (of 30 MPH) so we were all banned from using it. That's why they can't turn right and also the reason why a blockade will be a lot harder to implement now. The nearest public access is about half a mile away from the gates as opposed to being right outside.

Those speed cameras certainly did the trick.

must have been behind a "go slow dictator" today - old geezer joining the motorway at 30 mph, two lanes on the sliproad so i move to the outside lane to overtake. moron pulls into the centre of the sliproad to try and stop me overtaking

what a plonker.
