    Default This week

    Since iv joined
Had the common fault gutless under 2000rpm on me 1.9 150. More noticeable when in third.
I first of all found the swirl link bar off and thought easy fix, "not" spent few ours fetling and ended up with a very small self tapper holding down the bar. Really needs new inlet manifold with Actuater as its a days job nearly to fit" injector pump of and haven't got best part of £500 to spair at the moment. They are opening and closing now but bushes are worn.
Done the other mods, airfilter, KnN, removed both cats and Vertually bolcked the EGR.
Seems better mid range but i feel i had more lower end grunt on me old 1.9 120???

VIRTUALLY BLOCKED OFF THE EGR! ?, I would be careful using anything other than good quality materials, The fiat semi blanking gaskets are 'cheep' & designed for the job (£4). The swirl bar fix if done well can last 1000's of miles, A replacement manifold & gasket can be purchased for under £200, There's no need for a actuator motor if the 3rd swirl is moving, The motor rarely fails & they say it learns, But there's no way it can move any further than its resting place/stop as its got a 'very' firm return spring & stop, it cannot go any further in its opposite direction due to a built in stop.
