That will be why you keep going through tyres then. Track rod end to you and me.

They are handed.
it sounds more like a tie rod, which goes between the rack and the track rod end, its about £20 from the dealers, but you will need to get the tracking re done,
thank god, they wanted £180!!!
so its not this?

Naw thats the lower suspension arm.
so its deffo the track rod end then cause it does say i would need my tracking done again.
Great! thanks lads, that must be what that grinding/clicking feeling is thru the steering and what i hear!
To check you'll need a mate to help. Turn the steering fully inwards, with the engine running. Now look for the rod that connects to the Hub and grab the bit nearest the wheel, past the threaded rod. Get your mate to rock the steering, not a lot just from 5 past to 5 to. If it is the track rod end thats knackered you will feel a knocking.
well i phoned the garage that said that bit wwas worn and they confirmed its the track rod end they are reffering to. £154 fitted!!! LMFAO sure pal.
but then i phoned back as they said the track rod end was like £27.. so i couldnt understand where the £154 comes from, so he priced the full suspension arm at £165.. ??
he wants me to go in and they will go thru it with me.
