Default what does ids system stand for?

i went to buy a new wheel bearing for my 150 cdti 06 and there were two type and one was the ids which i thought was the system fitted to the 1.8 vvt cars with the sport button. could someone confirm this for me because when it came the length of the wiring and plug type were totally different and it appears that mine is the ids system part, or do they just share the same part on the facelift model but without the sport button

Interactive driving system i think, correct me if im wrong guys. The only cars with the IDS+ system are VXR's or individual cars ordered with it as an extra.

Yep. Uses information from sensors including those on the suspension itself to continually adapt suspension settings to their optimal position for the given road conditions and how you are driving

According to VX Vectra 'C' 2003 brochure IDS is the standard default suspension set up on all Vecytra 'C's with lightweight MacPherson struts and multi-link independent rear suspension.

IDS+ is as IDS but with the addition of Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and the Sport button.

    IDS2 is a further development of IDS+

IDS = 'In Deep $hit' LOL
