    Default sri 150 1.9 brakes spungy???

    is this normal?

    i have gone from a vxr with standard vxr brakes it may just be me use to teh instand stopping but it seems i have to press hard to get them to work ?

    any one elses like this

    yes - they're pants mate. All should come with the 314mm V6 brakes as standard IMO... There's a set for sale on here - added with a new pair of discs and pads and you'll be well impressed...

    I asked an independent garage to check my CDTI brakes because of them performing slightly "spongey" from a cold start. After braking once they bite properly.
    said that they've seen many vauxhalls like this, and previously some even failed MOT for it. Apparently, it is quite common.
    I'd get them checked over anyway, maybe the fluid needs changing - but to some extent this is just the way they are unfortunately.

    Hmmm. I've had 285's fronts on a 1.8, 302's and 314's on a 2.0T, and now 285's on a 1.9 CDTI 150. The only time I've had spongy brakes has been when new pads/discs were bedding in.
