    Default raidiator cover

    can you get a cover to put infront of the radiator in cold climites like the lorrys ?vectra c

    dont think so mate, if every thing is ok with your car it should still get up to temp, one night it was showing minus 14 here, but my PETROL vec still got up to temp,, when my stat went during last winter I had no dosh so,, I put a piece of thin ply in front of the rad, it covered about two thirds of the rad, I ran it like that for two months no problems.

    Soon warmer weather then hotter stuff will be here and we can moan that the air con doesn't work and the windows won't go down and it's all too hot.!!

    its just that i never get up to temp with me only doing a 7 mile run every day, i just get it warming up a little

    If your thermostat is broken then a more effective work around is to clamp to rad hose to stop / reduce the flow, but only when the weather is cold & watch the temp guage !!!!
