    Default Possible DMF, something else?

Hi all, having some issues with the signum cdti.

I'm getting a vibration in the footwell of the car, especially on the foot rest. I've had it some time but has got worse over the past week.

There's no odd noises, and when I lift the clutch in neutral all I hear different is the engine note, sounds like its rev ing but no rattle.

There's also a clunking noise from the front, could this be the vibration? Or is it the dmf?

The problem seems better if coasting in neutral, but no vibration when static with engine running.

Any info would be great as I was thinking of selling the car this year so if I'm about to spend a fortune then I may have to reconsider.

    Cheers all.

When does the clunking noise happen? I remember reading something about a gearbox mount can cause a clunk when going on and off the throttle. That vibration does sound like DMF though, and may explain the clunk too. Sorry I can't really be of more help!

The clunk is only on speed bumps and pot holes.

I suppose the question is, is the clunk and vibration linked or two problems.

With all the other things that will need doing to the car over the next 12 months, and possible over a grand for a DMF I'm looking at a 2.5k bill this year.

Not sure if I can pay that on a car that I'd struggle to get much more for at part exchange.

    Cheers.

Sounds to me like the suspension and the early stages if the DMF issue.
